One Question

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since I have written on here and to say I have been busy well that would be an understatement. When you decide to do a discipleship school, for those who haven’t embarked down that road, to say you are choosing even paying to go down a more narrow road well that is (at times what feels) like an understatement.

My schedule is packed.

Sunday 7am-2pm at church setting up, going to one service, serving in the other service, and then breaking things down (because we meet in a high school auditorium).

Monday-Thursday School from 8:30-12:30pm. I will usually leave my house around 6:30 to beat the traffic and have time with Jesus before class starts. Tuesday my discipler and I meet after class. Thursday I have life group. On Friday, I meet with the girl I am honored to be walking life with and discipling her. Friday’s is my get stuff done, like laundry and shopping and cleaning, etc. Oh working in here somewhere too….ha

Saturday is sabbath.

This week we have a lady named Penny Allison who came and talk to us about Identity. I just wanted to show you the video she showed us. Because like many of us we get consumed by the schedule and forget the sabbath and forget the main point.

Praising the Provider

I love the simplicity of this statement. The truth is so incredibly beautiful.

I serve a God who is my provider and I have many stories to share with you of what has happened in the past 3 months, but I am learning to give to others needs out of my own needs.

Testimonies of God’s Provisions the past 3 months.

As many of you know, saw me, and heard I was able to spend June and July seeing supporters from South and North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas. From all of those places, I was able to stay with friends and family. People opened up their homes with comfy beds, couches, refrigerators, giving of gas money, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, allowing me to enjoy of time shares at the beach and family vacations, and so many other practical blessings. For all of you who did this, thank you doesn’t begin to express that gratitude in my heart. For the many families who allowed me to love on your kids and receive their love and just hang out with those sweet nuggets, thank you. I love your kids so much. They really have such a special place in God’s Kingdom.

I just want to praise Jesus  through this process of going literally across half of this country, I did not have to stay in one hotel. One, that is the hand of God. Two, that is because those of you who shared what God has given with me. YAY, praise Jesus!

I was able to spend some time at my mom’s house for a little while before moving out to San Diego, California.

Here is another praise the Lord moment. So, my mom’s friend Lauren and her daughter are going out to L.A. for a ice skating competition. They agree literally the day before we would need to leave that they would drive out with me to California. (who does this?) They do! It was such a God provided encounter because we were just on the other side of San Antonio and we get a flat tire. What does Lauren say? Oh we can change this! So, we change the tire, find the little town with a old tire place with the repair guy, Leo! Leo takes off the tire, puts on a “new” used tire, in 30 mins all for $40! Yes, I’ll buy that tire Leo! And we are back on the road. Lauren and I drive over 14.5 hours one day and make it right outside of Tucson, Arizona. We eventually make it to California and of course it is glorious! We stop and take of picture by the state sign. It was such a confirmation of me being here in this incredible state. God is doing some incredible things here in this state, and He has invited me to be here. It’s so humbling.

So, I have almost been out here for a month….which crazy, but in a month let me share what God has done.


In San Diego, week 3 of being here hung out at Andy’s house for an entire day because he opened his home to a group of us.

I have a great place to stay. Living with my team mate Kellie who did the Serve:Project with me last year and her family. I am going to the church plant out here called All Peoples, plugged into a life group (which is such a blessing) being led by the wonderful, humble and amazing Lindsey and Thomas. This life group is filled with men and women of God who are submitting their lives to Christ. They blow me away with their hearts of serving Jesus.

This leads me to the next Jesus praising moment.

So my friend Jason, from life group helped me get a job. I have been trying to land the right job of where God would place me. So, one day when I was up waiting in a Starbucks, God was like apply to work at one of the locations. So, I did. But nothing happened, but then I remembered Jason works at one of the locations maybe he could put a good word in for me. So then one Sunday afternoon after church at lunch, I asked Jason if he would be willing to just put in a good word for me.


come to find out his boss was hiring in one of the stores that just so happens to be 3 miles away from where I am living. His boss calls me a few days later and interviews me over the phone, we meet in person, and calls me yesterday and tells me my hours for this week. So, Jesus just provided a job!

So, I am now a Barista at Starbucks!

Isaiah 58: 11,12

The Lord will guide you always he will satisfy your needs in a  sun-scorched land and will strengthen you frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose water never fail. your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called repairer of broken walls, restorer of streets with Dwellings.

This is the verse for this season for me. I am inviting y’all to pray this in for me. As I go into my workplace, target, gas station, coffee shops, etc that I will be a refreshment to those who need to receive water. I want to be used by God because to say the least I am suppose to be here for His glory.

So this is what has happened in the past 3 months….I promise to make this a little more often than every 3 months.

Life full of Wise Whimsy

Well, Hello my faithful followers. As many of you know I am back in the great US of A. I have been able to reconnect with many of you, and I am so grateful for you love. I have been back in the states now for almost seven weeks now. Man, how times has flown. My time in the past seven weeks have consisted of coffees, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and catch ups with friends and family. I could not have asked for anything more. For those of you who opened your home to me and allowed me to stay in your home, fellowship with your families, and be blessed by you, thank you. Even though this part of the season is coming to a close, my life adventure is just rounding a corner to another great escape. 

God started stirring my heart in Namibia about continuing the adventure with him. He is the greatest wooer I know because when God presents these radical adventures with Him, He knows I don’t need much convincing. As long as I am with Him, I’m totally in. 

I want to swing through life full of wise whimsy—a bow in my hair, and joy in my heart.

I read this quote today by Stephanie May and I absolutely fell in love with the idea of a life full of wise whimsy.  Stephanie made the point of there are the practicalities such as paying your water bill, but focusing on the decisions that will make the eternal difference. Yes, those are the decisions that do make the most difference.

With all of this said, I am moving to out to San Diego within the next couple of weeks, details are still being configured, but I am excited because this is absolutely where God is leading me. It’s such an adventure. Why? Because I have not ever wanted to live in California; I have never been to San Diego, and for some people the thought of moving out there is outrageous. And I absolutely receive it as a compliment. One of my dearest friends, sent me an encouragement card. She gave me one of the great compliments I believe I have ever received, ” You serve Jesus so well and because of that you serve others so well.” In serving Christ, at times it might seem to others outrageous but I completely see it through the kind eyes of God. He sees us take those whimsical jumps with Him and I see Him burst into joyous laughter.

For this season, I will be in San Diego, California searching out and discovering the depth of this verse from Ephesians 3:17-19

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

I will continue to share what God is doing in my life because the journey isn’t over, it has just become even more whimsical. 




Depths of the Ocean

We recently listened to a sermon by Graham Cook and he made this profound, wise statement. 


When you know who you are then you know how you are suppose to live.

Our identity is crucial to our being. Our identity defines how we are in the world, our calling, and our place in the Kingdom of God. Graham shared two questions in relation to our identity.

  • Who we are on Earth? 
  • How we are known in Heaven? 

Heaven is the place where God’s glory is always being praised, worshiped, and glorified. We are in heaven right now. How? Because we have Jesus who is in us and is also sitting at the right hand of God. So, we are impacting heaven even though we are here on Earth. But honestly, how often are we living with that authority in our minds? Do you wake up in the morning and say ” I have all the authority because of Jesus Christ within me and I am with Him in the heavenly realms.” I have to say that I had not until this past week, and let me tell you this is a transformative thought process. 

When your mind is aligned with Jesus you are able to walk out and in your identity through your gifting (s) and your personal calling (paraphrased Cook). This past week, I have walked out in my identity in a way that I have never done before. I have been aligned with Jesus by intimacy in our relationship, which has overflowed my gifting and his calling he placed on my life.

For the first time in my life, there is no question of once I get ______ then I’ll have made it. I have already made it because I am living from my identity not towards it. Knowing your identity erases all worry and doubt and anxiety. Why worry? When you know your identity you know who you are, you know where you are going, and you know whose you are. Troubles will come but the greatest weapon we have against the enemy is our intimacy with God (cook). 

 Hebrews 6:19 ” We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf…” 



I want to encourage you to process through with him your identity if you aren’t secure about it. Ask Him. He will answer. Then start living from there. 


Vision from God…this is for you (you know who you are) and I submit this picture to you. pray about this. 

I got the picture of a person who is on the beach and they are sitting where the shore line and the soft waves are coming, just barely touching them. The waves create only puddles of water around them. The person is disappointed because they are not experiencing the fullness of the ocean. 

Stop flailing your arms in a foot deep of water, and stand up firmly in who he has created you to be. Walk into the depths of the ocean with him. There is way more to discover about him. You have to be willing to get up, so that you can explore the depths of the ocean. 


Africa, Here I am!


So we are here in Namibia!!!! (Background sound of the Lion King!)

WE are seeking God to see where He wants us to get plugged in.

Here is a little of what we are seeing and where we are living in!

Another great and more detailed update will come but I did want to share a little for now and more to come later.

Internet is very limited so If you email or do any other type of communication I will get back to you; i promise. We have to go to places for internet because we do not have it where we are living. Also, I am 7 hours ahead (CST). Let me know if you want to know about the future…haha j.k.

Hold my hand….

“Your gravest danger is worrying about tomorrow. If you try to carry tomorrow’s burdens today, you will stagger under the load and eventually fall flat.”

The transition of my time in England is here. There is no longer this blurry image of change. Change is walking straight up towards me. While often people comment that they do not like it or they love it, there can at times be a mental “meditation” that happens to us all. We will go through the details in our mind until we can fully comprehend everything. I am not speaking about personality types. There are those who need to have a game plan and that is how God wired you, yes! What I am talking about is when we try to take that beautiful wiring that God has done and transform that into worry. 

My future is filled with so many questions. Is it going to be really difficult leaving England? What will Africa be like? Will I like it? How is it going to be living with the entire team all under one roof? How will customs be? What about life when I get back to America? What if we….. (the list of questions can go on and on and on and on) 

Important to notice that all of these questions are future areas of my life. Areas where God is already working on my behalf. Deep Breath in. (no literally do it!) I am humbling myself to know that my God is holding my hand like a good father and he is not letting go. 

I got the picture of me in New York City, Times Square and I was a five year old girl. I was holding the hand of the God and there were tons of people around. (as I would expect being in Times Square). There was excitement and commotion within the city and as a five year old kid it was exciting but at the same time a bit of fear was in my heart. At the exact moment that fear was there, I saw God lean down towards me and say “I’m not letting go of your hand”. We then continued walking down the block.

It was such a great vision to have because it really shows the Father heart of God. He does not mind reminding us that He is with us. It is His delight to be with us. 

It is a season of transition, but I am graciously being reminded of God’s presence. 

Psalm 73:23 “Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.”
